Job summary

Jobtailor is hiring for a hospital housekeeping role focused on delivering high-quality cleaning in patient areas, corridors, and rooms. The position requires operating cleaning equipment, handling chemicals safely, and collaborating with a patient-centered team to maintain a safe healing environment.

You will perform floor care tasks such as stripping, buffing, and bonneting while following healthcare protocols and maintaining professional personal hygiene.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.

• Experience in healthcare or housekeeping preferred.
• Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and lift 25–100 lb.

Job description

• Provide a superior level of cleaning quality in a hospital environment
• Create a safe, clean, and comfortable environment where patients can heal
• Perform cleaning, buffing, and bonneting procedures to maintain floors
• Perform floor stripping and extraction projects as assigned
• Follow all HHS cleaning procedures and best practices
• Provide friendly and kind service to all individuals in the hospital
• Assist team members and management as needed to help the department operate efficiently

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Communicate effectively in English and work well in a team environment
• Must practice good personal hygiene, be neatly groomed, and be in uniform
• Preferred: Housekeeping experience, including cleaning, environmental services, custodial, janitorial, room attendant, floor care technician, hotel operations, or healthcare
• Must be able to stand, walk, squat, bend, twist, kneel, and reach continuously throughout a shift
• Must be able to push, pull, and lift furniture and equipment weighing 25–100 lb. frequently
• Must be able to push and pull carts or equipment over 100 lb. on tile and carpeted floors continuously throughout a shift
• Must handle chemicals including bleach, wax, and disinfectants
• Must be able to operate equipment necessary to perform essential job functions
• Must pass a background check and drug screen
• Must provide proof of employment eligibility in the U.S.
• May require full COVID-19 vaccination or an approved exemption depending on the healthcare facility
