Job summary

Mitsubishi Power Americas, Inc. in Orlando, Florida, is seeking a Project Financial Analyst II to provide financial and operational support for project-based businesses.

You will develop forecasts, support month-end close activities, and partner with cross-functional teams to drive business results and project performance. The role requires preparing analyses, maintaining KPIs, and reporting to management, while helping to optimize processes through data mining and reporting tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance from a four-year college or university, with at least 5 years related experience.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals; present information to groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.
• Knowledge of ERP systems (SAP/SAP S4 preferred), Microsoft Office, and accounting principles.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate daily in revenue recognition, preparing/consolidating/analyzing financial statements.
• Prepare disclosures, budgets and key performance measures for Parts.
• Prepare ad hoc reports to provide transparency around Parts’ operational performance.
• Responsible for financial performance regarding P&L and Balance Sheet.
• Prepare Part backlog forecast and conduct variance analysis to explain differences between actual results and forecasts.
• Forecast monthly opportunities and risks and report to management.
• Analyze operating results and historical data to identify trends and provide recommendations.
• Support General Ledger activities including Unbilled Receivables, Deferred Sales, Work in Process, Warranty, and Expenses.
• Perform Parts accounting closing duties with accruals, reconciliations, and analysis.
• Coordinate with auditors and assist in annual budget preparation.
