Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting is required with about 5 years of experience.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas, pivot tables and visualizations.
• Experience with SAP, BOBJ and Power BI for financial data reporting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual Capital Forecasts.
• Analyze financial data and create reports to support decision-making.
• Support budgeting and forecasting by gathering and organizing financial data.
• Responsible for monthly accrual process.
• Support cost and schedule risk analysis and provide input.
• Perform financial analyses as needed by management or regulatory bodies.
• Conduct variance analysis to compare actuals to budgets/forecasts.
• Build and maintain Excel financial models to analyze trends.
• Create and update Excel spreadsheets for financial tracking and reporting.
• Track project costs and forecast end-of-project spend within budget.
• Prepare financial presentations for senior management.
• Ensure SOX compliance and accurate asset reporting.

About the role:

Location: Juno Beach, FL 33408

We're looking for a Project Controls Specialist on behalf of our client. This is a 1-year contract assignment.(W-2) You will join the Engineering, Construction & Supply Chain Team. You will need to have a knowledge of financial principles, eager to apply, and learn about the Solar, Battery Storage and Wind Technology. You will have experience with Excel, and comfortable working with financial data to help with budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.

You will have the understanding of Capital Forecasting requirements, financial reporting systems (SAP, BPC), project safe harbor requirements, incurred spend and cash forecasts, and develop forecast allocation models.

Coordinate with accounting, treasury, supply chain, early-stage construction, and execution teams. This involves hands-on reporting, detailed analysis of business drivers, and financial planning/forecasting. Additionally, it includes ad-hoc reporting, as well as development and maintenance of project analytics and reporting tools.

Key Responsibilities:

• Help prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual Capital Forecasts.

• Build and maintain financial models in Excel to analyze trends and project future performance.
• Create and update Excel spreadsheets for financial tracking and reporting purposes.
• Track costs of individual projects and forecasts end of project spend to keep costs within budget.
• Help prepare financial presentations for senior management.
• Performs accounting unitization activities to ensure SOX Compliance and accurate reporting of assets.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting, 5 years' experience.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to create and manage complex formulas, pivot tables, and data visualizations.
• Basic understanding of financial statements and financial reporting.
• Experience with SAP, BOBJ, and Power BI.
• Understands AI abilities and to check for accuracy.
