Job summary

Hargrove Engineers + Constructors is seeking an experienced expeditor to work with suppliers and fabricators to ensure milestone dates are met and the overall construction schedule stays on track.

You will report vendor status, fabrication progress, and shipping information to the project team and client, with some travel for shop surveillance. A minimum of 5 years in supply chain expediting is required.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of relevant professional experience in supply chain management, specifically in project expediting.
  • Ability to organize effectively and manage multiple tasks with extreme attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of INCOTERMS and ability to communicate status to project team and clients.

Responsibilities

  • Support project schedules and fabrication milestones by expediting vendor data and materials.
  • Develop expediting plans and monitor supplier/fabricator performance to meet delivery dates.
  • Communicate status and issues to the project team and client, including recovery plans and shipping information.

What You'll Be DoingJob Scope: Generally responsible for working with suppliers and fabricators to ensure milestone dates are met in support of the overall project and construction schedule. Responsibilities also include reporting vendor data status, fabrication status, recovery plans, and shipping information to the project team and the end user. Some travel for shop surveillance may be required.Primary responsibilities will include but not be limited to:Familiarity with and utilization of department standards.Developing and maintaining supplier/contractor relationships.Interpreting project schedules .and fabrication schedulesDeveloping expediting plans for the tracking of vendor data and materials.Working with suppliers and fabricators to ensure adherence to contractual delivery datesCommunicating status of vendor data and equipment to the Project Team and ClientIdeal BackgroundEducation: High School Diploma or equivalent is required.Certification: Certification is not required for this positionExperience: This position requires at least 5 years of relevant professional experience in Supply Chain Management, specifically in Project Expediting.Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Knowledge and application of company standards.Ability to organize effectively.Extreme attention to detail.Ability to negotiate with suppliers.Working knowledge of International Commercial Terms (INCOTERMS).Excellent listening and communication skills, both verbal and written.Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.Physical Requirements:Ability to sit, stand, or walk for long periods of time.Hargrove CultureWe work to create an environment founded on trust, personal integrity, and a “team mentality” so that each person understands the value of their contributions both on a project and company-wide level.
