Job summary

KW Landscape Architects in Houston seeks a Project Executive Team Lead to guide a 3+ person team through all phases of landscape architecture projects, from concept to completion. This role provides strategic direction, mentorship, and proactive client relationship management, driving on-time delivery, quality, and growth aligned with KW's standards and goals.

You will lead business development efforts, review proposals, mentor Tier 1 staff, and collaborate with consultants to deliver

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Architecture from an accredited college.
  • 10+ years of related experience, preferably in the Master Planned Community sector.
  • Strong ability to communicate effectively with teammates, leaders, clients, vendors, and contractors.
  • Ability to learn and use company-preferred software used for drawing, project planning, office communications, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Efficiently plan, staff, and coordinate project(s) from start to finish.
  • Anticipate project conflicts and work to resolve.
  • Monitor project deliverables to ensure on-time delivery by team members.
  • Monitor project budgets and billing milestones, minimizing out of scope work or overruns.
  • Meet with clients to discuss project status, concerns, and future work.
  • Possess a thorough understanding of the monthly billing process.
  • Generate weekly work plans for staff.
  • Review work of Tier 1 staff and provide QA/QC for their tasks.
  • Approve team member time sheets.
  • Redline drawings.
  • Write proposals.
  • Assist with project maintenance and scheduling in Ajera.
  • Assist with recruiting and interview potential candidates.
  • Conduct employee performance reviews.
  • Lead weekly hotlist meetings.
  • Source new projects from clients/consultants.
  • Cultivate client relationships through business development efforts.
  • Develop ideas and help execute firm-wide growth strategies.
  • Mentor and train Tier 1 staff.

Minimum Qualifications (knowledge, Skills, And Abilities)
  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Architecture from an accredited college
  • 10+ years of related experience, preferably in the Master Planned Community sector
  • Ability to learn and use company-preferred software used for drawing, project planning, office communications, etc.
  • Demonstrate a strong work ethic and professional behavior in/out of the office
  • Ability to critically analyze situations, solve problems, and formulate ideas
  • Actively participate in AEC organizations outside of the office
  • Strong ability to communicate effectively with teammates, leaders, clients, vendors, and contractors
