Job summary

CSG Talent is seeking a Heavy Transportation Project Executive to lead delivery of large-scale highways, bridges, and related infrastructure. You will provide executive oversight from preconstruction through completion, manage client relationships, and guide project teams to safety, schedule, and budget goals.

Applicants should have 10+ years in heavy civil/transportation construction, strong DOT knowledge, and a BS in Construction Management or Civil Engineering.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of heavy civil/transportation construction experience with progressive leadership.
• Proven experience leading large, complex transportation projects.
• Strong knowledge of DOT construction, contract administration, project controls, and construction operations.
• Experience managing projects ranging from $50M to $500M+.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering; related certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide executive leadership and oversight for large-scale heavy transportation and infrastructure projects.
• Lead project teams consisting of Project Managers, Superintendents, Estimators, Engineers, and other personnel.
• Oversee projects from preconstruction and estimating through final completion and closeout.
• Develop and maintain relationships with owners, DOTs, municipalities, engineers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
• Set project objectives, schedules, budgets, staffing plans, and execution strategies.
• Monitor budgets, cost controls, forecasting, billing, and profitability.
• Provide leadership on change orders, claims, contract negotiations, and risk management.
• Review project schedules and ensure alignment with milestones and dates.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, specifications, environmental requirements, and regulations.
• Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Participate in business development, client presentations, pursuits, and proposal development.
• Help identify and pursue opportunities with DOTs, municipalities, transportation agencies, and private owners.
• Mentor and develop Project Managers and other leadership personnel.
• Promote a culture of safety, accountability, quality, teamwork, and operational excellence.
• Collaborate with senior leadership on long-term objectives.

Heavy Transportation Project Executive Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Heavy Transportation Project Executive to lead the successful delivery of large-scale transportation and heavy civil construction projects. This individual will provide executive oversight from preconstruction through project completion, while leading project teams, managing client relationships, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget. The ideal candidate brings extensive experience with highway, interstate, bridge, roadway, interchange, DOT, and other major transportation infrastructure projects , along with a proven ability to manage complex construction operations and develop strong relationships with public and private-sector clients.

• Provide executive leadership and oversight for large-scale heavy transportation and infrastructure projects.
• Lead project teams consisting of Project Managers, Superintendents, Estimators, Engineers, and other field and office personnel.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience leading large, complex transportation projects.
• Strong understanding of DOT construction, contract administration, project controls, and construction operations .
• Proven financial management and project forecasting experience.
• Experience managing projects ranging from $50M to $500M+ preferred.
• Strong knowledge of scheduling, estimating, cost control, change orders, and claims.
• Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and client-management skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred.
• PE, CCM, or other relevant professional certifications are a plus.
• Ability to travel to project sites as required.
