Job summary

Kokosing Industrial, Inc. is seeking a Project Executive to oversee one or more large-scale construction projects.

The role drives project objectives, staffing, budgeting, and schedule control across advanced manufacturing, technology and power installations. The incumbent will lead senior teams, ensure CPM schedules are executed, liaise with prime clients, and manage risk, safety and profitability across projects.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Engineering or Construction Management.
  • PE and/or DBIA credentialing is not required but is a strong plus.
  • 10+ years of experience/knowledge of construction, contracts, design, finance and management.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain project and company culture through active engagement, open communication, personal connection and support for all team members and stakeholders.
  • Initiate and maintain liaison with prime client to facilitate project delivery.
  • Establish project objectives, policies, procedures and performance standards within boundaries of corporate and client policies.
  • Confere with project staff to outline work plans, assign duties/responsibilities and delegate authority.
  • Establish work plan and staffing for each phase of project – coordinate with senior management for recruitment and assignment of project personnel.
  • Direct and coordinate activities of project personnel to ensure work progresses on schedule and within prescribed budget.
  • Review project proposal or plan to determine the timeframe, funding limitations, project procedures, staffing requirements and available resources for various phases of the project.
  • Review status reports from project personnel and modify schedules/plans as needed.
  • Prepare project reports for management, client or other stakeholders.
  • Confer with project personnel to provide technical advice and resolve problems.
  • Coordinate project activities with governmental agencies and subcontractors.
  • Understand and analyze and execute CPM‑based project schedules.
  • Monitor/control construction through administrative direction of on‑site superintendent to ensure the project is built safely, on schedule and within budget.
  • Represent company in owner progress meetings.
  • Manage financial aspects of contracts and be responsible for project profit or loss.
  • Lead and/or delegate leadership of project meetings.
  • Mentor and assist with career development of other team members.
  • Participate in strategic planning efforts as it relates to assigned market(s).
  • Perform additional assignments per supervisor’s direction.
  • Other tasks and duties as assigned.

Job Overview

The Project Executive (PX) is a senior manager who maintains primary responsibility and program oversight for delivering one or more large‑scale construction projects. Market types include advanced manufacturing, technology, heavy industrial and power installations across a wide range of industries and clients. The scope of this role may include leading a single mega project or a group of projects in a specific market segment, using varied contract delivery methodologies.

Education and Experience
