MKL Careers is assisting a Tier 1 General Contractor in hiring a Project Executive to lead delivery of large, complex commercial and institutional projects in the San Francisco Bay Area.

This senior role requires overseeing client relationships, financial performance, and operational execution across multiple concurrent projects, with healthcare and aviation experience highly valued for regulatory and delivery rigor.

Qualificações

• Senior construction leadership experience (12+ years) with a Tier 1 GC background.
• Experience with healthcare and/or aviation construction is preferred.
• Established relationships within the Bay Area market with Owners, developers, architects, and subcontractors.

Responsabilidades

• Provide senior oversight across a portfolio of projects from preconstruction through closeout.
• Act as the primary executive point of contact for owners, developers, and institutional clients.
• Own project financial performance across the portfolio, including forecasting and risk management.
• Lead and mentor Senior Project Managers, Project Managers, and Superintendents.
• Oversee OSHPD/HCAI healthcare compliance and aviation coordination with FAA/TSA where applicable.
• Manage phased, occupied construction sequencing in hospital and airport environments.
• Partner with BD and preconstruction teams to pursue and win new work in the Bay Area.
• Build and maintain relationships with owners, health systems, and design partners.

About the Role

Our client, a Tier 1 General Contractor with a strong Bay Area presence, is seeking a Project Executive to lead delivery across a portfolio of large, complex commercial and institutional projects. This is a senior leadership role with direct accountability for client relationships, financial performance, and operational execution across multiple concurrent projects.

Experience in healthcare (OSHPD/HCAI) and aviation construction is preferred, given the regulatory rigor, phasing complexity, and specialized delivery methods these sectors demand. Strong Project Executives from other major market sectors with a track record on complex work are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide senior oversight and leadership across a portfolio of projects, from preconstruction through closeout.
• Serve as the primary executive point of contact for owners, developers, and institutional clients.
• Own project financial performance across the portfolio, including forecasting, margin protection, and risk management.
• Lead and mentor Senior Project Managers, Project Managers, and Superintendents across assigned projects.
• Oversee sector-specific compliance requirements, such as OSHPD/HCAI approval and closeout for healthcare, and airport authority, FAA, and TSA coordination for aviation work.
• Manage phased, occupied, and operationally sensitive construction sequencing common to hospital and airport environments.
• Partner with business development and preconstruction teams to pursue and win new work in the Bay Area market.
• Build and maintain relationships with owners, health systems, airport stakeholders, design partners, and specialty subcontractors.
• Represent the company in client interviews, presentations, and industry events.
• Drive continuous improvement in project delivery processes and standards across the region.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of construction leadership experience, with a Tier 1 GC background required.
• Healthcare and/or aviation construction experience preferred.
• Established relationships within the Bay Area market, including owners, developers, architects, and specialty subcontractors.
• Proven track record managing large, multi-project portfolios and complex client relationships.
• Strong financial acumen, with experience owning P&L across a portfolio of projects.
• Demonstrated success developing and mentoring project teams.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
