Job summary

MCL Construction in Omaha, NE seeks a Project Executive to own outcomes at the portfolio level, guiding commercial projects from preconstruction through closeout with accountability to the client, team, and business.

You will lead pursuits, proposals, and client relationships, mentor PMs and superintendents, and ensure projects are delivered on schedule, on budget, and to MCL standards, while expanding repeat business.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Construction Management or Engineering plus 10+ years in commercial construction, including 5+ as a PM with full project accountability.
• Track record of client development and generating repeat work.
• Familiarity with CMAR, Design-Build, GMP, and IPD and the judgment to know which fits.

Responsibilities

• Own the portfolio — multiple commercial projects, delivered safely, on schedule, on budget, to MCL standard.
• Lead full-cycle — preconstruction through closeout as the senior point of accountability.
• Make the tough calls on risk, resources, and people and live with the outcomes.
• Control the numbers — cost, resource allocation, and margin across the portfolio.
• Build the bench — mentor PMs and superintendents into leaders.
• Grow relationships — client relationships that generate repeat work and referrals.
• Win the work — lead pursuits, proposals, and interviews with owners and decision-makers.
• Your portfolio runs on schedule and on budget, with no surprises reaching leadership late.
• At least one client relationship has turned into repeat or referred work.
• Leadership trusts your read on risk enough to bring you into pursuits and strategy early.
