Job summary

PTS Advance in Houston, TX is seeking a Project Executive to lead the delivery of major power infrastructure projects from pursuit to closeout. You will supervise Project Managers and Assistant Project Managers, own the prime contract and financial results, and partner with executive management on key decisions.

This senior role requires on-site leadership, experience in EPC or design-build, and a proven record of delivering on schedule, budget, safety, and quality.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of construction project management experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (equivalent experience considered).
• Strong knowledge of materials, methods, and equipment used in power delivery work.
• Experience leading teams in a matrix organization.

Responsibilities

• Direct engineering, procurement, and construction from conceptual design through closeout.
• Run constructability reviews and value engineering with the design and estimating teams.
• Break work into subcontract and purchase order packages and oversee subcontractor scope, price, and schedule.
• Report budget forecasts, schedule, and project performance monthly to internal and external stakeholders.
• Be the senior point of contact for the customer and resolve disputes before they escalation.
• Hold every project to safety and quality assurance/control plans.
• Handle closeout, warranty administration, and post-construction cost review.

Own major power delivery projects from pursuit to closeout, and lead the Project Managers who deliver them.

A national leader in EPC, design-build, and CMAR delivery for electrical infrastructure, part of a publicly traded infrastructure services company, is hiring a Project Executive in Houston, TX. This is a senior leadership seat, not a bigger PM role. You’ll supervise Project Managers and Assistant Project Managers, own the prime contract and the financial results, and work with executive management on operational decisions.

Not the right fit if you’ve managed your own projects but haven’t led other Project Managers.

This role is for you if you’ve:

• Run integrated design-build or EPC projects in transmission, distribution, or substation work
• Directly supervised Project Managers and Assistant Project Managers, not just managed your own projects
• Owned the prime contract, including subcontracts, purchase orders, change management, the Schedule of Values, and progress payments
• Worked the pursuit side, helping shape scope, schedule, and price before award
• Supervised field operations and are comfortable on site when a project needs you there
• Led teams across multiple operating units or service territories
