Job summary

System One is seeking a Project Executive in Charlotte, NC to provide strategic leadership for large-scale electrical construction across hyperscale data centers. This onsite role focuses on project performance, schedule, budget, safety, quality, and client satisfaction, with overtime as needed.

You will drive design reviews with VDC/BIM teams, manage contracts and change orders, mentor teams, and collaborate across pre-construction and field operations to deliver profitable projects.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in electrical construction project management.
• Proven leadership in managing large-scale electrical construction projects.
• Knowledge of budgeting, scheduling, change management, and risk mitigation.
• Experience with VDC/BIM, 3D coordination.

Responsibilities

• Maintain responsibility for project financial performance, profitability, quality, safety, scheduling, client satisfaction, subcontractor management, risk management, and project execution.
• Develop and communicate project strategies, budgets, and financial controls, including monitoring profit and loss and reviewing change proposals.
• Review design documents, verify project scopes, and collaborate with pre-construction and VDC/BIM teams to ensure accurate budgets and schedules.
• Manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate recovery strategies to stakeholders.
• Partner with VDC/BIM teams to optimize electrical layouts, review construction documents, and coordinate trades.
• Develop and oversee project prefabrication strategies, coordinating efforts between teams and trade partners to enhance efficiency.
• Implement safety and quality control programs, ensuring compliance with standards and regulations.
• Lead, coach, and mentor project management and field teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.

Overview

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in electrical construction project management, especially in mission-critical or hyperscale data center projects.
• Proven leadership in managing large-scale electrical construction projects from pre-construction through completion.
• Strong understanding of electrical construction processes, scheduling, budgeting, and project controls.
• Experience managing project financial performance, contracts, change management, and risk mitigation.
• Knowledge of VDC/BIM, 3D coordination models, prefabrication strategies, and construction safety/quality control processes.
• Excellent communication, organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and teams, and build strong client and stakeholder relationships.
