Job summary

Linea Energy seeks a Project Execution Manager to lead the execution of utility-scale solar, battery storage, and wind projects within its Execution department. The role requires directing suppliers and contractors through pre-construction to final completion, ensuring safety, on-time delivery, and budget alignment.

This hybrid position supports reporting on-site to one of our corporate offices in San Francisco, Austin, or Chicago with a preference for Chicago.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management or related field preferred; graduate degree highly preferred.
• PMI PMP certification (preferred).
• Minimum 5 years of engineering or construction experience; minimum 3 years in solar development.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally; hybrid on-site reporting to SF, Austin or Chicago.

Responsibilities

• Manage the project execution of utility-scale solar, battery storage, and wind projects.
• Scope and manage LNTP work prior to project financial close.
• Support the Project Finance lead by managing EPC Contractor deliverables during Pre-Construction.
• Manage the EPC Contractor from FNTP through Final Completion, ensuring safety, schedule, and budget.
• Oversee progress tracking, pay applications, change orders, and on-site construction teams.
• Develop and distribute project status updates to stakeholders.
• Coordinate Owner Furnished Equipment suppliers during execution (design, scheduling, logistics, installation, commissioning).
• Coordinate scheduling and management of interconnection.
• Coordinate with Asset Management and O&M for handoff to operations.

About the Position

Linea Energy is seeking a Project Execution Manager to join the Execution department. As a key member of the Execution team, the Project Execution Manager will draw upon a fundamental construction and engineering background and direct experience to manage key suppliers and contractors through the project execution phase, delivering operating projects to Linea Energy’s operating portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the project execution of utility scale solar, battery storage, and wind projects.
• Scope and manage LNTP work prior to project financial close.
• Support the Project Finance lead and the project team in achieving financial close by managing EPC Contractor and Owner Furnished Equipment Supplier deliverables during the Pre-Construction period.
• Manage the EPC Contractor from FNTP through Final Completion, delivering high quality projects safely, on time, and on budget.
• Manage progress tracking, pay applications, change orders, and on-site construction management teams.
• Own the development and distribution of project status updates to key internal and external stakeholders
• Manage Owner Furnished Equipment Suppliers during project execution to coordinate design, scheduling, logistics, installation, and commissioning activities.
• Coordinate the scheduling and management of the interconnection
• Coordinate with the Asset Management and O&M providers to ensure a successful handoff of project assets into the Operational phase.

Required Qualifications

• Willingness to work in a small team environment in a growing company
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management or another related field is preferred; a graduate degree in engineering or another related field is highly preferred.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in engineering or construction; minimum of 3 years of experience in solar development.
• Capability to interact with leadership cross-culturally, both within and outside the organization.
• Possess both long-term strategic perspective and near-term action orientation, with a strong desire to continuously improve and push limits.
• Strong team player with a high degree of professionalism.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally. This hybrid position requires the employee to be based near and report on-site to one of our corporate offices in San Francisco, Austin, or Chicago, with a preference for Chicago.
