Job summary

Team UIS is looking for a skilled Project Estimator to enhance the Michigan team amid rapid growth. The ideal candidate will manage the entire quotation process, ensure organized records, and build relationships with contractors to drive sales growth.

With a preferred Bachelor’s degree and at least 2 years of electrical estimating experience, you will work collaboratively to identify process improvements and maintain communication with customers. Join us to be part of a dynamic team!

Qualifications

• 2+ years of relevant electrical estimating experience.
• Ability to read electrical one-line diagrams and project specifications.
• Familiarity with bidding sites preferred.

Project Estimator

Due to rapid growth, we are seeking a skilled and knowledgeable Project Estimator to add to our Michigan Team!

Roles & Responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end quotation process – including scoping requests, estimating costs, sending proposals, tracking responses, and following up with customers.
• Monitor and assist in optimizing the estimating workflow, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing efficient processes.
• Maintain organized records of quotes, bid documents, and relevant correspondence.
• Address any changes or revisions required during the estimating process and ensure that updates are accurately and promptly communicated.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with electrical contractors to promote sales growth.
• Hand won jobs over to Project Managers.
• Contribute to the overall success by performing additional duties as needed.

Qualifications, Experience, and Education Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, business, or related field - preferred.
• 2+ years of relevant electrical estimating experience.
• Ability to read electrical one-line diagrams and project specifications.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 (OneDrive) – HubSpot & BlueBeam familiarity is an added bonus.
• Familiarity with bidding sites preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Robust relationship building skills with both internal and external customers.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
