BLE in Waynesville, NC seeks a Special Inspections Technician I to support field testing of concrete, soil, and site materials under supervision of a licensed engineer. You will collect samples, observe earthwork and foundations, and prepare daily reports for the project engineer.
Ideal candidates are 18+, HS diploma or GED, valid driver's license, and able to work outdoors year-round. You must pursue required certifications within specified timelines after hire.

Special Inspections Technician I
As a Special Inspections Technician I for Bunnell-Lammons Engineering, Inc. (BLE), you will work under the immediate supervision of a registered professional engineer. You will collaborate with site managers and engineers to perform required inspection or sampling services, collect concrete, soil, and other site materials for testing, and continuously monitor general contractor activities. Your responsibilities include onsite testing, reporting of earthwork and soil construction, foundation/subgrade evaluation, reinforcing steel, concrete placements, masonry, and asphalt testing. You will also accurately prepare daily reports for submission to the assigned project engineer, summarizing test results and detailed construction site observations.
