Context, Roles & Responsibilities

Services organization dedicated to providing solutions that keep transportation safe, reliable and comfortable. This position covers Asset Life Management, specifically overhaul, modernization and repair of rail vehicles.

Your future role

Project Engineering Manager (PrEM) is in charge of all engineering activities deployed during the project, including:

• Coordinating engineering activities in Alstom Services NAM, other Alstom units worldwide and external suppliers.
• Managing the complete engineering work‑package, ensuring quality of deliverables, respecting the budget and delivering on time.
• Managing risks and opportunities related to the engineering scope.
• Acting as the technical interface with the core project team, the engineering community and the end customer.
• Supporting bids activities as Bid Technical Manager (BTM) when required.

Reporting hierarchically to Services NAM ALM Engineering Manager and functionally to Projects/Bids Managers.

All about You

Educational requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field, or equivalent education.

Experience: Minimum 3 years in project engineering management. Prefer railways environment (design or modernization of rolling stock). Demonstrated management skills, leadership and customer experience on complex projects.

Languages: Mandatory – English fluent; Appreciated – French.

Working conditions: Up to 20% travel within the NAM region, occasional travel to Europe.

Compensation

$100,000 – $130,000 DOE.
