Position Description
The Project Engineering Manager will be responsible for moderate to complex project planning and execution across all Refresco facilities within the assigned region. The role manages resources, timelines, and budgets while ensuring compliance with safety, quality and environmental standards.
Essential Functions
- Adhere to all health and safety policies, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and wear required PPE in warehouse or production areas.
- Ensure food quality and safety as per corporate, customer and governing body standards such as SQF.
- Execute medium to large‑scale projects (line upgrades, process upgrades, marketing initiatives, building extensions).
- Develop regional budgets, write project proposals and manage suppliers.
- Assist Plant Managers in capital budget development.
- Communicate with all departments to guarantee efficient project execution.
- Provide technical support throughout the company.
- Maintain engineering documents for all plants.
- Drive equipment and line performance optimization by analyzing production data to identify operating limits and eliminate chronic losses.
- Lead root‑cause failure analysis (RCFA) on major downtime events and develop permanent corrective actions across sites.
- Define and standardize optimal line operating conditions to maximize throughput.
- Improve maintenance effectiveness through preventive and predictive strategies using asset performance data.
- Ensure new equipment and capital projects deliver long‑term reliability and operational stability.
- Ensure compliance with OHSA, environmental and corporate standards, investigate root causes of non‑compliance, and coordinate cross‑functional teams.
- Manage contractors, suppliers and third‑party resources involved in projects.
- Oversee procurement of materials and equipment.
- Facilitate communication between departments to support project goals.

Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, manufacturing, business management or related field.
- 5+ years of project management experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- PMP certification preferred; Lean or Six Sigma certifications a plus.
- Advanced proficiency in performing complex assignments and providing technical guidance.
- Fast‑paced manufacturing environment experience.
- Background in beverage manufacturing, specifically canned products, preferred.
