Job summary

The Walsh Group is seeking interns for our Kentucky Region in Lexington, Hamburg, or Louisville, KY. The internship program offers hands-on experience in project engineering and field management, with opportunities to travel across the United States and work in estimating and preconstruction.

Interns will be trained to become full-time employees after graduation, with responsibilities spanning coordination, bidding, scheduling, document control, safety, and collaboration in team meetings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Willingness to work a 12-week schedule.
• Relocation may be required for specific roles.

Responsibilities

• Assist project manager or field supervision staff with project coordination.
• Estimate costs for change orders.
• Solicit bidders and coordinate subcontractor activity.
• Schedule contracts and materials.
• Document control and coordination of subcontractors.
• Safety management on sites.
• Participate in team meetings.
• Write RFIs and submittals, assist in change orders.
