Job summary

Brixenta in Ohio is offering a Spring internship to gain hands-on experience in operations, controls, and automation on large and medium-scale projects.

You will support technology delivery from design to startup, review P&ID drawings, test networks and HMIs, and help create customer training materials while learning project delivery methods.

The program runs January through August 2027 as a full-time co-op, with a pay rate of $22–32 per hour and benefits including PTO and a 401(k) plan.

Qualifications

• Active enrollment in a four-year or advanced degree program at an accredited university.
• Availability for 40 hours a week (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM).
• Co-Ops: Mid-January - Mid August.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future.

Responsibilities

This internship provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in operations and controls and automation.

Responsibilities:

• Support the company’s technology delivery operations from design to startup as part of large and medium scale automation projects for customers
• Review and correct electrical and/or P&ID drawings
• Assure project work meets customer specifications by testing network configurations, HMI screens and electrical connectivity of devices etc.
• Help create training material for customers to satisfy project delivery requirements
• Learn project delivery and management software's and procedures used to manage large scale projects.
• Learn industrial automation project delivery methods and concepts

Required Qualifications:

• Active enrollment in a four year or advanced degree program at an accredited university
• Availability for 40 hours a week (8:00AM - 5:00PM)
• Co-Ops: Mid-January -Mid August
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future

Preferred Qualifications:

• Interned with the company through an event
• A cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
• Demonstrated analytical skills and the ability to approach challenges with innovative solutions
• Proven experience collaborating with and leading others to achieve project goals, prioritizing competing tasks and presenting complex information to diverse audiences
• Experience with industrial automation, electrical wiring or P&ID drawings
