Aqua America, Inc. is seeking a Project Engineer in Hamilton, NJ, to manage capital improvement projects for water and wastewater systems. You will be responsible for ensuring these systems comply with environmental regulations and for managing financials, design, and construction aspects of various projects.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, 4+ years of relevant experience, and must be a Registered Professional Engineer in New Jersey or obtain a PE license within a year. Excellent communication and project management skills are essential. This role can involve both office and field work.

As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing a variety of capital improvement projects for Aqua New Jersey’s water and wastewater systems. You will play a vital role in ensuring the sustainability and improvement of water and wastewater systems across the state. You will be managing multiple projects simultaneously and must be comfortable with both office-based and field-based work. In addition, this role will be responsible for ensuring water and wastewater plants and systems are compliant with environmental regulations.
Perform sedentary work – exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Working conditions may include travel to work sites of Essential Utilities and/or other constituents within the State of NJ.
