Job summary

Walker Partners Engineers | Surveyors in Austin, TX seeks a Project Engineer to lead design and delivery of municipal water and wastewater facilities. A licensed P.E. with 5–7 years in planning and design is preferred, offering leadership experience in a growing firm.

You will work with project managers and multidisciplinary teams on design, permitting, bidding support, and construction management from cradle to grave.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.).
• 5–7 years of experience in planning and design of water/wastewater systems.
• Working knowledge of Texas permitting and design standards.
• Ability to lead a design team to prepare drawings and specs.
• Coaching and mentoring abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and/or support civil engineering efforts across water and wastewater projects.
• Collaborate with project managers and cross-disciplined teams to meet client goals.
• Develop scopes, schedules, and budgets.
• Prepare technical reports, construction plans, and specifications.
• Mentor and lead EITs and junior staff.
