Join Our Team as a Project Engineer (Water / Wastewater) at GHD

GHD is seeking a Project Engineer to join our growing Northeast Water team in Buffalo, NY. This role involves working on water, wastewater, utility, and infrastructure design projects across the region.

About the Role:

• Assist in preparing technical reports, design drawings, contract documents, cost estimates, and permits.
• Lead and support workshop presentations for clients on project studies and designs.
• Develop project delivery strategies and manage work within QA plans, including resource securing, work briefs, and budgets.
• Support pricing, scoping, and marketing strategies for new projects and clients.
• Prepare and modify reports, specifications, plans, schedules, environmental impact studies, and designs.
• Coordinate with the CAD team to develop design and construction documents.
• Conduct field investigations and condition assessments to identify needs and solutions.
• Manage communication related to technical and contractual issues and coordinate client meetings.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
• Registered NYS Professional Engineer or ability to obtain registration.
• 4-7 years of municipal water experience, including experience in New York; prior water and wastewater design experience with local municipalities is a plus.
• Stormwater design and MS4 planning experience is advantageous.

Salary Range: $74,800 - $112,200, commensurate with experience.
