Job summary

The Thrasher Group is seeking a Civil Project Engineer to join our Charleston, WV Water Resources team. You will apply your engineering knowledge to design residential and commercial water resource projects, working with a driven team in a fast-paced setting.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of water/wastewater experience, a BS in Civil Engineering (ABET-accredited), and proficiency in AutoCAD/Civil 3D and MS Office. EI/EIT is a plus; travel is periodic.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program required
  • EI/EIT certification desired but not required
  • 3–5 years of related water/wastewater experience
  • Microsoft Office proficiency required; AutoCAD and Civil 3D experience a plus
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to collaborate effectively within a team
  • Periodic day travel required

Responsibilities

  • Create technical drawings and plans for permitting and construction of water resource projects, including design, layout, grading, drainage, and erosion and sediment controls
  • Provide technical support during construction activities, including reviewing plans
  • Prepare cost estimates for water resource projects
  • Develop engineering solutions for water resource challenges
  • Collaborate with engineers to develop optimal designs for clients
  • Coordinate with construction inspection personnel to ensure contracted work meets design intent
  • Operate independently within a deadline-driven environment

ROLE OVERVIEW

We are looking for a Civil Project Engineer to join our Charleston, WV Water Resources team. In this role, you will apply your engineering knowledge to help design residential and commercial water resources projects, working alongside a team of driven professionals in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

WHAT YOU'LL BRING
