Job summary

Texas Materials, a CRH company, is seeking a Construction Project Coordinator to help coordinate the overall construction schedule with input from Project Managers and the Management team. You will oversee crews and ensure manpower and tools are in place to meet budgets and production goals, while handling multiple projects concurrently.

The role requires a Construction Management degree or equivalent and a minimum of 3 years in construction management.

Qualifications

  • Construction Management degree or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction management.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word; scheduling software experience recommended.
  • Experience with Bid 2 Win and Heavy Bid preferred.
  • Knowledge of TXDOT safety standards preferred.

Position Overview

Coordinate and maintain the overall construction schedule with input from the Project Managers and Management team. Assist in the oversight of the construction crews and ensure that crews have the appropriate manpower and tools in place to maintain project budgets and production goals. Will have responsibility for more than one project at a time.

Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)
  • Partner with on-site Superintendents to ensure projects are built on schedule and within budget; investigate potentially serious situations and implement corrective measures.
  • Monitor overall safety of employees on the project
  • Coordinate materials, trucking, and subcontractor work as needed.
  • Represent the company in project meetings as needed/assigned; assist in planning meetings, etc.
  • Assume additional responsibilities as directed by the Operations Manager.
Qualifications
Education/Experience
  • Construction Management Degree or equivalent
Work Requirements
  • Regular work attendance is a requirement for this position
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction management required
Knowledge/Skill Requirements
  • Thorough understanding of corporate and industry practices, processes, standards, etc. and their impact on project activities is vital.
  • Superior communication and interpersonal (tact, diplomacy, influence, etc.) skills essential
  • Business Acumen; Decision Quality; Managing and Measuring Work; Drive for Results
  • P6 scheduling experience preferred
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Knowledge of Bid 2 Win and Heavy Bid preferred
  • TXDOT traffic control/safety standards knowledge preferred
