Job summary

Texas Materials, a CRH company, is seeking a Project Manager to coordinate and maintain the construction schedule across multiple projects in Central Texas. You’ll oversee crews, ensure on-time delivery within budget, and work with management to optimize daily operations.

  • Construction management degree or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 3 years of construction management experience.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to influence and maintain tact.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Knowledge of Bid 2 Win and Heavy Bid preferred.
  • TXDOT traffic control/safety standards knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with on-site Superintendents to keep projects on schedule and within budget; implement corrective actions when needed.
  • Monitor safety of employees on the project.
  • Coordinate materials, trucking and subcontractor work as needed.
  • Represent the company in project meetings and assist in planning sessions.
  • Take on additional responsibilities as directed by the Operations Manager.

Position Overview

Coordinate and maintain the overall construction schedule with input from the Project Managers and Management team. Assist in the oversight of the construction crews and ensure that crews have the appropriate manpower and tools in place to maintain project budgets and production goals. Will have responsibility for more than one project at a time.

Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)

Partner with on-site Superintendents to ensure projects are built on schedule and within budget; investigate potentially serious situations and implement corrective measures.

Monitor overall safety of employees on the project

Coordinate materials, trucking, and subcontractor work as needed.

Represent the company in project meetings as needed/assigned; assist in planning meetings, etc.

Assume additional responsibilities as directed by the Operations Manager.

Qualifications
Education/Experience

Construction Management Degree or equivalent

Work Requirements

Regular work attendance is a requirement for this position

Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction management required

Knowledge/Skill Requirements

Thorough understanding of corporate and industry practices, processes, standards, etc. and their impact on project activities is vital.

Superior communication and interpersonal (tact, diplomacy, influence, etc.) skills essential

Business Acumen; Decision Quality; Managing and Measuring Work; Drive for Results

Must be proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word

Knowledge of Bid 2 Win and Heavy Bid preferred

TXDOT traffic control/safety standards knowledge preferred

Physical Requirements
