Job summary

Oradeo Recruitment is seeking an experienced Project Engineer for a leading construction contractor based in Dublin. The successful candidate will provide technical support to the Project Manager and wider project team, ensuring engineering activities are effectively coordinated and delivered in line with project specifications, quality standards and Health & Safety requirements.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 7 years' experience as a Project Engineer with a main contractor.
• Experience with reinforced concrete frames and commercial/residential developments.
• Proficiency with GPS, robotic total stations and levelling equipment.

• Support the Project Manager and project team with technical advice and engineering support.
• Liaise daily with project/design teams and subcontractors.
• Carry out technical verification of civil designs, models and drawings.
• Implement quality assurance procedures including concrete pour checks.
• Manage RFIs and assist in resolving technical issues.
• Assist in maintaining safe on-site practices.
• Monitor materials, plant and site logistics and maintain site records.

• Project Engineer opportunity with a leading international construction contractor.
• Work on major construction projects, including reinforced concrete frame, commercial and residential developments.

Oradeo Recruitment is seeking an experienced Project Engineer for a leading construction contractor based in Dublin. The successful candidate will provide technical support to the Project Manager and wider project team, ensuring engineering activities are effectively coordinated and delivered in line with project specifications, quality standards and Health & Safety requirements.

Project Engineer Responsibilities:

• Support the Project Manager and wider project team by providing technical advice and engineering support throughout the project.
• Liaise daily with the project team, design team and subcontractors.
• Carry out technical verification of civil engineering designs, models and drawings.
• Implement quality assurance procedures, including concrete pre- and post-pour checks.
• Manage Requests for Information (RFIs) and assist in resolving technical issues.
• Assist in maintaining and monitoring safe working practices on site.
• Monitor and record materials, plant and site logistics.
• Maintain accurate site records and produce regular reports.

Necessary Skills & Requirements:

• Relevant third-level degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 7 years’ experience in a similar Project Engineer role.
• Previous experience working with a main contractor.
• Previous project experience involving reinforced concrete frames, commercial and residential developments.
• Proficient in the use of GPS, robotic total stations and levelling equipment (essential).
• Excellent IT skills, including knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks and Microsoft Office.
• Strong technical, organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a wider project team and coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
