Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a licensed Structural Engineer to independently prepare calculations and drawings for small to mid-sized projects in the Sacramento area.

You will coordinate with architecture and other engineering disciplines, perform construction administration duties, and develop project specifications. Proficiency in Revit and MS Office is required; familiarity with CSI/RISA/RAM is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• Professional Engineering License is required.
• Minimum 2 years related professional experience preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience with Autodesk Revit.
• Experience with Microsoft Office suite.
• Experience with industry standard Structural Engineering software (CSI, RAM, RAM, RISA).

• Development of job specific specifications independently for less complex projects
• Participates in the coordination with architectural, interior, and other engineering disciplines for coordination of the project
• Independently perform construction administration duties including completing field observations report, responding to RFI’s, submittal reviews, and evaluating contractor change orders
• Perform calculations using company standard software and proprietary manufacturer software
• Communicate design issues with their senior engineer and with the design team
• Understand industry standard design processes and understanding of construction means and methods
• Work within project scope, budgets, and design approach to deliver projects to clients on time, on budget, and at a high level of client service
• Assist with development of design standards

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
• Minimum 2 years related professional experience preferred but not required; or equivalent combination of education and experience and/or demonstrated skills
• Professional Engineering License is required
• Experience with modeling software (Autodesk Revit)
• Experience with general business software (Microsoft Office suite)
• Experience with industry standard Structural Engineering software (CSI, RISA, RAM, etc.)
