Job summary

Jobtailor seeks an experienced Structural Engineer to lead design tasks across steel, concrete, masonry, and timber. You will develop procedures to deliver high-quality, cost-effective work and perform interdisciplinary reviews to ensure accuracy.

You will use ETABS, SAP2000, RAM, Enercalc, Tekla Tedds, and Revit, coordinate across disciplines, and review drawings and specs to ensure constructibility. Based in New York, PE licensure within 12 months is encouraged.

Qualifications

• Requires a BS in structural/civil engineering.
• 3+ years of building structural design experience.
• PE license or clear ability to obtain within 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Independently lead structural design tasks for a variety of building materials including steel, concrete, masonry, and timber.
• Develop and implement study and design procedures to facilitate high-quality, automated, and cost-effective work across teams.
• Perform rigorous interdisciplinary reviews of project deliverables and coordinate construction issues across disciplines to ensure accuracy.
• Prepare and review technical specifications, design calculations, and construction documents using advanced structural analysis software and Revit.

Requirements

• BS in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 3+ years of relevant experience specifically in the structural design of buildings and structures.
• Expertise in structural codes (ASCE 7, ACI 318, AISC, IBC, etc.)
• Proficiency in ETABS, SAP2000, RAM, Enercalc, Tekla Tedds and Excel/Mathcad.
• Must be capable of performing direct drafting and making changes to Revit 3D models and 2D details.
• Professional Engineer (PE) License, or the clear ability to obtain a PE/SE within 12 months of hire.
• A commitment to high-intensity work with a focus on precision and quality control.
