To be effective, you will need to possess these basic qualifications:

• Bachelors degree from an accredited college,
• 3+ years of professional experience,
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite tools (PowerPoint, excel, etc.),
• Experience in the coordination planning, organization, control, integration and completion of engineering projects,
• Demonstrated ability to take a project from conceptualization and organize, plan and manage it to successful completion,
• You will need to be a US Citizen, and currently possess and be able to maintain a US DoD SECRET clearance, with ability to obtain TOP SECRET, to support this government contract, as well as successfully pass a drug and background check, in order to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

In this role will offer you the following daily key responsibilities:



We are seeking a Project Engineer to support the FBM Advanced Reentry Programs portfolio. This position is located in Valley Forge, PA and is accountable for supporting the program manager in support of managing cost, technical, and schedule. In addition, this individual will coordinate with co-contractors in support of the portfolio’s needs.

• Prepare and provide briefings in various technical working groups
• Coordinate closely with all engineering and program disciplines to provide systems approach to advanced concept development
• Provide technical support to Advanced Reentry program manager
• Assist in the integration of Hardware Utilization/GFI activities
• Assist in addressing action items


This position does not support teleworking; the preferred candidate will be located near our Lockheed Martin Space facility in King of Prussia, PA , and be expected to work in the office.

Desired skills

To be effective, ideally, you should also have:

• Final DoD Top Secret clearance,
• Experience in project management,
• Strategic organizational experience,
• Reentry and/or hypersonic vehicle design experience,
• Familiarity with Agile tools/processes,
• Excellent, demonstrated communication, presentation and people skills are required as this position requires frequent briefings to senior leadership, as well as, the customer
• Must be able to work independently and in a team environment,

National Pay Statement

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $85,500 - $150,765. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays.
