Job summary

Messer Construction Co. is hiring an entry-level Civil Engineer/Construction Manager in Columbus, OH to support safety, layout, and project documentation for complex commercial builds.

We seek a candidate with a relevant bachelor's degree, 0–3 years of construction experience, and a willingness to work non-traditional hours on a growing, employee-owned company that has served customers since 1932.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
• 0-3 years of construction experience.
• Ability to work non-traditional hours.

Responsibilities

• Support our Zero Injury safety program.
• Lead site and building layout.
• Support the Quality Leadership System.
• Provide document control including shop drawings, submittals, change orders, progress photos and daily reports.
• Coordinate scheduled construction activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education
