We have an opportunity for a Project Engineer for RFproducts(will consider all Senior levels)at our facility in Longmont, CO. In this role you will be responsible for leading teams to develop new space-based RF systems and communications architectures. You will interact directly with customers, and be responsible for guiding the technical development from concept through flight testing and delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Lead interdisciplinary project teamsto develop andbuild RF products for satellites.
  • Guide technical development throughout the project team with strong communication and collaboration.
  • Communicate directly with customers and subcontractors
  • Define work packages and review work products from the team.
  • Support business development activities with proposal writing and review
  • Assist program management with team organization, resource demands, and project execution.
  • Ensure a smooth program transition from engineering development into flight production.
Ideal Experience
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience designing, building, and testing RF systems.
  • Experience developing & building satellite hardware from concept through product verification.
  • Experience leading a team anddeveloping technical work plans, including estimation of required resources.
  • Backgroundworking/communicating with customersto manage expectations and project scope.
  • Experience with RF modeling or ECAD software (HFSS, Altium, etc.).
  • US Citizen (Green Card holder and Visa sponsorship not accepted).
  • BS in Engineering, (Aerospace or Electrical Engineering preferred). Master’s Degree may substitute for two years less of applicable experience.
Desired Skills
  • Strongly desire experience with RF testing and test equipment
  • Background in translating system architectures into requirements and verification plans
  • Understanding ofrisk management activities.
  • Background managing technical baselines and product configurations.
  • Experiencing generating content for and presenting at standard technical reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR, etc.)

Pay Range
$105,000 - $190,000

Redwiredetermines pay for positions using local, national, and industry-specific survey data, for our locations throughout the US. We will evaluate external equity and the cost of labor/prevailing wage index, in the relative marketplace for jobs directly comparable to jobs within our company.
For new hires, we strive to make competitive offers allowing the new employee room for future growth. Salaries will be based on the applicant’s level of experience, education, and specialized knowledge and skills. Additionally, we consider the external market rate, the amount we have budgeted internally, and internal equity within the company for the same position. An employee/candidate with a stronger skill set will receive higher pay.
