Job summary

Total Energies Renewables USA, LLC is seeking a Project Engineer at our Downtown Houston headquarters to drive solar and wind project development and execution. You will coordinate with 3rd party engineers, maintain MDR, and ensure timely deliverables across the project lifecycle.

The ideal candidate has a BS in engineering, 2+ years in project engineering, and at least 1 year in renewables, with PV design familiarity and strong MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent experience.
• At least 2 years of professional project engineering experience.
• Minimum 1+ years in renewable energy projects.
• Familiarity with PV solar design and technical standards.
• Basic knowledge of civil, structural, and electrical disciplines.
• Experience in solar project design or management is highly preferred.
• Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and quick to learn new software.
• Strong organizational, written and oral communication skills.
• Self-starter with motivation to achieve goals.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate 3rd party engineers and review 30/60/90% drawings.
• Develop and maintain Master Document Register (MDR).
• Track deliverables and document revisions and transmittals.
• Ensure reliability, retrievability and traceability of project data.
• Process documents for record or approval.
• Participate in coordination meetings with stakeholders.
• Support project Leads to meet all document control needs.
• Assist throughout the project lifecycle.

Electricity demand is set to rise faster than global demand for energy as a whole in the coming years. According to the International Energy Agency's Sustainable Development Scenario, renewable energies will represent more than 35% of the world's energy mix in 2040. To support this growth, our ambition is to achieve100 gigawatts of gross installed renewable power generation capacity by 2030, through the development of our solar and wind energy businesses around the world.

Activities

• Coordinate relevant 3rd party engineers, and ensure design submittals and reviewal of accurate 30%, 60% and 90% drawings.
• Develop and maintain Master Document Register (MDR) through the life of the project.
• Tracking deliverables throughout the project lifecycle (recording revisions, revision purposes, distribution, and transmittal histories.
• Ensure reliability, retrievability and traceability of the project data.
• Process documents for record or approval.
• Participate in Coordination Meetings.
• Coordinate with Project Leads to ensure all document control needs are being met.
• Assist throughout project lifecycle.

Candidate Profile

What You Will Bring:

• Bachelor's degree (preferably Engineering, or similar field) or equivalent experience.
• At least 2 years of professional experience in a project engineering role required.
• Minimum 1+ years of professional renewable energy experience required.
• Familiarity with photovoltaic solar design and technical standards required.
• Basic knowledge of civil, structural, and electrical.
• Professional experience in solar (PV) project design or project management and technical development work highly preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and proven ability to learn new software programs
• Strong organizational skills.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Self-starter, and naturally motivated to work hard and accomplish goals.
