Job summary

Smurfit Westrock in Dallas, TX is seeking a Project Engineer to lead capital and expense projects from inception through final execution at the mill. You will coordinate with operations, maintenance, I&E, and safety to deliver engineered solutions that support safety, quality, and budget goals.

The role requires a BS in Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering, 1–3 years in heavy manufacturing (pulp & paper preferred), and proven ability to plan, forecast spending, and supervise internal

Qualifications

BS in Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering from an accredited institution.
1–3 years’ heavy manufacturing experience; pulp & paper preferred.
Strong planning, budgeting, and documentation skills.
Ability to lead teams and coordinate cross-functional projects.

Responsibilities

Coordinate planning, organizing, and completion of engineering projects at the mill.
Provide technical direction and engineered solutions to maintenance and operations.
Manage all phases of capital and expense projects from inception through execution.
Ensure safety, quality, cost, and schedule objectives are met.
