Responsibilities

• Oversee construction projects to ensure they are completed according to the contract, including observing construction, reviewing and signing documents, and communicating with staff, contractors, and clients.
• Communicate professionally with clients and contractors, building ongoing business relationships.
• Perform engineering calculations for analysis, study, and design of specific project aspects.
• Utilize electronic tools such as GIS, models, BIM, and CADD for project analysis, study, and design.
• Assist in creating cost estimates for projects.
• Instruct technicians on drafting for your designs.
• Conduct field investigations or inspections, ranging from visual observations to detailed measurements using specialized equipment.

Qualifications

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Four years of relevant, post-graduate mechanical engineering experience

Required Knowledge and Skills

• Knowledge of engineering philosophies, principles, practices, and techniques
• Proficiency with digital tools such as Microsoft Office, GIS, BIM, and CADD
• Strong interpersonal skills for facilitating relationships
• Creative problem-solving abilities
• Ability to mentor less experienced staff
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship

License

• Professional Engineering License in WI, with IA, IL, and/or MN preferred
