Project Engineer - Pipe - Heavy Civil

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Project Engineer to support the delivery of pipework and heavy civil engineering works on a major infrastructure project. This role will suit a technically capable construction professional with experience coordinating site activities, managing engineering information and ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and to specification.

Working closely with the Project Manager, Site Manager, subcontractors and design teams, you will provide engineering support throughout the project lifecycle. You will help plan and coordinate pipe installation, earthworks, concrete structures, drainage and associated civil engineering activities, while maintaining high standards of quality and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Review drawings, specifications, schedules and technical submissions to identify project requirements.

About you

You will have proven experience in a project engineering or site engineering role within heavy civil engineering, utilities, infrastructure or major construction. Experience with large-diameter pipework, drainage, earthworks, reinforced concrete or underground services would be advantageous.

A relevant engineering qualification, strong understanding of construction methods and excellent knowledge of technical drawings are required. Competence in surveying and setting-out equipment, along with the ability to use standard engineering and reporting software, is desirable. You must be organised, commercially aware and confident communicating with colleagues at all levels.
