Job summary

BendTec in Duluth, MN is seeking a Project Engineer to oversee product integrity from receipt of the order through delivery. You will review contracts, assign directives, manage schedules and determine testing and NDE requirements for each project.

You will develop and issue project documents, prepare spool drawings, coordinate with customers and internal teams, and assist in vendor selection, change orders, and quality plans across concurrent projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
• 0–5 years of experience in the pipe fabrication field.
• Familiarity with ASTM, ASME, and PFI standards.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Proficiency in MS Office; AutoCAD a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review customer contracts and accumulate documents for contract review.
• Assign and supervise project directives and drawings.
• Assist in managing dates, lead times and delivery schedules.
• Determine testing and non-destructive evaluation requirements for each project.
• Develop project directives, spool drawings and travelers.
• Assist in vendor selection and pricing negotiations for materials.
• Coordinate with clients and internal departments on engineering issues.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously.
