Job summary

BendTec, LLC is seeking a Production Assistant to join the Fabrication team. The role supports the machining and prep of piping materials, helps plan production sequences, and assists the Production Manager in coordinating operations across departments.

Ideal candidates have a HS diploma or GED with 1–2 years on-site experience. A valid driver’s license and forklift training are required, with a strong emphasis on safety, accuracy, and teamwork to meet production goals.

Responsibilities

  • Enforce safety and sanitation regulations.
  • Coordinate machining and prepping of piping materials for fabrication.
  • Plan work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet goals.
  • Coordinate operations between departments with Production Manager.
  • Monitor materials and report delays or bottlenecks.
  • Resolve worker problems and grievances with management.
  • Interpret blueprints, job orders, and company policies for workers.
  • Maintain production data and prepare management reports.

BendTec, LLC has an exciting opportunity available for a Production Assistant to be an integral part of our Fabrication team. WHAT YOU'LL DO:
  • Enforce safety and sanitation regulations.
  • Help direct and coordinate the activities of employees engaged in the machining and prepping of piping materials for fabrication.
  • Provide input and help plan work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet production goals.
  • Confer with Production Manager to coordinate operations and activities within or between departments.
  • Observe work and monitor materials as they pass through the production process, provide input to the Production Manager with regards to delays, issues or bottlenecks.
  • Confer with management or subordinates to resolve worker problems, complaints, or grievances.
  • Interpret specifications, blueprints, job orders, and company policies and procedures for workers.
  • Maintain operations data, such as time, production, and cost records, and prepare management reports of production results.
  • Recommend or implement measures to motivate employees and to improve production methods, equipment performance, product quality, or efficiency.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
  • Education: High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED): Preferred
  • Experience: 1-2 years - Trained on Site!
  • Computer Skills: None specifically required
  • Certifications & Licenses: Valid driver's license
  • Other Requirements: Ability to pass forklift training; knowledge of piping materials (visual and descriptions)
