Deacon Construction, LLC is hiring a Project Engineer to support our project teams across the West Coast. This role entails handling documentation, cost tracking, scheduling support, and on-site coordination. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required.
• Strong understanding of construction means and methods is necessary.
• 1–3 years of experience on commercial construction projects is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist Superintendents and Project Managers with site management.
• Manage the RFI and submittal process.
• Track job-cost codes and resolve project-related accounting items.
• Maintain daily logs and close-out documents.
• Help create and update project schedules using MS Project.
• Coordinate subcontractor insurance and compliance paperwork.
• Support project safety by attending daily huddles.

Skills

Ability to read plans, specs, and shop drawings

Clear written and verbal communication skills

Organized and detail-oriented

Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture or equivalent
