Job summary

NWS Technologies in Spartanburg, SC, is seeking a Project Engineer / Job Coordinator to drive valve repair and testing projects in the nuclear energy market. Qualifications

• BS/BSc degree in Engineering preferred; other degrees or relevant experience may be considered.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills in both customer-facing and technical environments.
• Ability to autonomously manage multiple projects with competing priorities.
• Demonstrated attention to detail with reviewing and generating technical documentation.
• Strong critical thinking, problem-solving ability, and technical troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Own the customer interface across the project lifecycle to ensure schedule, quality, and customer satisfaction.
• Build strong customer relationships and uphold NWS’s reputation for reliable, high-quality service.
• Communicate project status, schedule risks, and technical issues proactively and transparently.
• Review customer purchase orders and ensure all requirements are understood and met during work execution.
• Clarify technical and contractual requirements with customers before work begins.
• Advocate for project needs and raise schedule risks, technical issues, and other constraints early.
• Manage multiple projects with autonomy and track milestones to ensure on-time delivery.
• Ensure all project records are audit-ready and compliant with NWS and customer requirements.
• Coordinate resources across departments to keep projects on track.
• Drive continuous improvement in processes and project execution.
