As a Project Engineer- Nuclear Uprate, you will play a pivotal role in delivering complex steam turbine modifications that enhance nuclear plant uprates and long-term performance. This position is highly collaborative and customer-facing, making it ideal for engineers who thrive on transforming detailed designs into successful field execution. You will engage directly with nuclear generation customers to review technical scopes, align project requirements, and ensure that our solutions not only meet contractual commitments but also exceed expectations. Internally, you will work closely with design engineering, project management, and manufacturing teams to bridge the gap between engineering intent and real-world execution.
A key aspect of your role will involve translating design engineering outputs and approved turbine modification details into safe, efficient, and effective field execution strategies. This includes evaluating installation methods, identifying potential risks, resolving execution challenges, and ensuring compliance with nuclear quality, safety, and regulatory standards. Throughout your day, you will balance technical rigor with practical problem-solving by reviewing engineering documentation, participating in cross-functional planning meetings, and supporting field execution decisions.
