Our client is an Semiconductor Manufacturing facility in the NW Phoenix AZ vicinity, seeking experienced Project Engineers to join the team. The role involves building the foundation for new manufacturing facilities, industrial work, and field engineering across sites up to 2.1M square feet, with buildings up to 600k square feet.

As a Construction Project Engineer, you'll act as the primary liaison for construction, tool installation, and maintenance of our 600k sqft facility. You will collaborate onsite to install, maintain, and upgrade manufacturing equipment, working with internal teams to improve business processes.

  • Evaluate production equipment performance and efficiency, ensure maintenance complies with OEM and code requirements.
  • Perform load calculations and select appropriate feeders for system stability.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance on transformers, generators, UPS, and batteries.
  • Monitor key equipment in the central control room in real-time, including power consumption.
  • Manage system operations, including installation, maintenance, and user training.
  • Coordinate effectively and assertively direct subcontractors during construction and post-construction phases.
  • Handle hook-up & lay-out, matrix review of production equipment, prepare bidding documents, supervise on-site activities, equipment turn-on, and handover.
  • Perform additional duties as needed by the business.

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or similar discipline)
  • 3+ years of relevant post-education experience in an engineering role within manufacturing and/or construction environments
  • Knowledge of industry standards, codes, and regulations, with the ability to apply them to site electrical power systems.
  • Proficiency in electrical engineering principles, practices, processes, configuration, and application to project issues.
  • Construction experience in manufacturing systems, preferably in semiconductor or related industries.
