Job summary

EMBREY is seeking a Project Engineer for multifamily construction in Phoenix, AZ. You will join a strong construction team responsible for documentation and on-site project control.

As a Project Engineer, you will ensure document control, RFIs and change orders are processed promptly, work with subs and vendors, uphold safety standards, and assist in project closeout and inspections through the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

  • 1 - 2 years’ experience in construction engineering
  • Multifamily housing experience preferred
  • Experience utilizing Procore and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Science/Management, Engineering, or related field
  • Valid Driver’s License

Responsibilities

  • Provide effective and efficient document control, including daily construction job logs and monthly construction status reports.
  • Ensure an effective and efficient Request for Information (RFI)/change orders/shop drawings process is in place and all documentation is completed in a timely manner.
  • Work directly with all sub-contractors and vendors to ensure quality and costcontrol.
  • Ensure project site and company assets are secure andmaintain a safe and respectfulworkingenvironmentatalltimesbyimplementingsafety(OSHA)andrisk management standards.
  • Proactivelyidentifyissuesthatcouldleadtoproblemsandfacilitatesolutions
  • Create,update,andmaintainavarietyofprojectcontrolsthattrackthestatusofindividualprojectsor taskorders, changesto projects.
  • Assist with the set up and processing of sub-contractor draws, payroll, materials,supplies, etc. andensurepropermaterialsinventory.
  • Assistinfinalcompletionviapunchlists,cleanand managementturns.
  • In preparation for project completion, collect warranty material, create closeoutdocuments to ensure an effective and efficient transition for project constructioncompletionandclose out.
  • Trackanddocumentallinspectionsandre-inspections;maintaintheStormWaterPollutionPreventionPlan(SWPPP).
  • Perform any relevant duties as assigned by the Construction Superintendent,Senior Project Engineer and/orProjectManager.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Science/Management, Engineering, or related field
