Job Details

To be considered for this opportunity, you must have experience in Mission Critical Facilities design and construction and have a degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.

The ideal candidate will have experience with subcontractor management, design/build, and technical PM type experience in the mission critical field. This position reports to the Director of Engineering and Construction.

Responsibilities:
  1. Oversee project management and provide technical engineering support for large enterprise expansion projects.
  2. Prepare designs, specifications, and drawings for the repair, replacement, or upgrade of building electrical, mechanical, and related systems.
  3. Manage the RFP process.
  4. Lead project teams and subcontractors to ensure timely, high-quality, budget-friendly, and safe project completion while meeting client satisfaction goals.
  5. Organize project management activities, including budget review, schedule updates, and establishing communication standards.
  6. Offer consulting services by evaluating building systems and providing recommendations for improvements.
  7. Build strong client relationships and identify new project opportunities.
  8. Maintain a network with local contractors.
  9. Pre-construction: Manage the preparation of designs and RFPs for the repair and upgrade of electrical and mechanical systems. Oversee contract awards and activity through completion.
  10. Project Management: Provide construction administration for system repairs and upgrades. Coordinate subcontractors to ensure proper installation and service delivery. Collaborate with clients and vendors to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to specifications. Keep detailed records of all installed systems and components.
  11. Consulting/Owner’s Rep: Analyze and evaluate building electrical and mechanical systems, emphasizing power, lighting, safety, and security. Prepare and review reports, identifying necessary actions and cost estimates. Provide engineering and project management support for data center operations. Troubleshoot emergencies and oversee resolutions.
  12. Operations Support: Provide ongoing technical support and manage vendor relationships. Continue building a local contractor network.
Requirements:
  1. Bachelor’s in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  2. 3+ years of relevant experience.
  3. Proficiency in planning, scheduling, and organization.
  4. Strong communication, leadership, and project management skills.
  5. Knowledge of construction, mechanical, and electrical systems.
  6. Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, Project, and AutoCAD.
  7. Travel as needed for project requirements.
