Our Electrical business applies over 100 years of product testing expertise to help clients meet safety, performance, environmental, and quality standards across various industries, including Medical devices. We operate a global network of laboratories with experts committed to delivering high-quality testing and certification services that support product success.

What are we looking for?

The Project Engineer will independently perform testing and evaluation on medical devices and products according to U.S., Canadian, and international safety standards, prepare reports, and communicate with clients.

Responsibilities include:

  • Conduct on-site and off-site product evaluations for compliance.
  • Interpret and apply relevant codes and standards for equipment under test (EUT).
  • Provide information for project quotes, including duration, site requirements, rental equipment, samples, and standards.
  • Set up and operate standard testing equipment such as spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, dielectric testers, environmental chambers, etc.
  • Perform tests covering ratings, leakage current, dielectric, temperature, pressure, mechanical hazards, flammability, radiation, sound, and laser safety.
  • Communicate test progress and results to clients and team members; support clients as needed.
  • Work independently in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.

Minimum Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
  • Effective communication skills in verbal and written formats.
  • Customer-focused and quality-driven mindset.
  • Willingness to travel up to 15%.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable driving record.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s in electrical, mechanical, or biomedical engineering.
  • Experience with international safety standards such as IEC and ISO standards relevant to medical devices.
  • Project management experience.
