Job summary

MSA Professional Services is seeking a Project Engineer – Mechanical or Plumbing Design in Jacksonville to lead and support mechanical and plumbing system design for diverse projects. You will mentor junior staff, manage scope, schedule, and budget, and coordinate with internal/external partners to ensure design excellence.

The role requires a Florida PE, ABET-accredited Mechanical Engineering degree, and strong technical writing and communication skills.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in Florida is required; multi-state licensure may be beneficial.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CADD, BIM, and relevant modeling or analysis software.
• Strong technical writing, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrated ability to lead project components and coordinate multidisciplinary efforts.
• Effective mentoring, time management, and organizational skills.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship.

We’re seeking a Project Engineer – Mechanical or Plumbing Design to join our Jacksonville team. In this role, you’ll lead and support the design and implementation of mechanical and plumbing systems for a variety of building and infrastructure projects. Qualifications

What you bring:

• Bachelor’s degree from an ABET-accredited program in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• 4+ years of post-graduate engineering experience, preferably in mechanical or plumbing design.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in Florida required; multi-state licensure may be beneficial.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CADD, BIM, and relevant modeling or analysis software.
• Strong technical writing, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrated ability to lead project components and coordinate multidisciplinary efforts.
• Effective mentoring, time management, and organizational skills.

The salary for this position ranges from $79,081 to $126,529 per year commensurate with experience. Higher compensation within this range will be paid to candidates with significant experience and exceptional qualifications.
