Job summary

Baillow Recruiting LLC is hiring a Project Engineer in New Hope, MN. You'll support project managers, coordinate documentation, and help manage schedules, costs, and field operations for HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and related trades.

Gain hands-on experience across planning, submittals, permits, and closeout while building customer relationships and learning construction billing methods. This role offers a path toward project management as you grow your technical and leadership skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.
• Interest in building a long-term career in mechanical or commercial construction.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Clear and professional communication, with ability to work office and field teams.
• Willingness to learn, ask questions, and take initiative.

Responsibilities

• Support Project Managers with day-to-day coordination of commercial construction projects.
• Prepare and manage project documentation, including submittals, permits, and closeout documents.
• Assist with pricing requests and organize material pricing based on drawings and schedules.
• Help with change orders, proposals, forecasting, and cost-management activities.
• Review schedules and coordinate labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors.
• Participate in project, customer, contractor, field, and planning meetings.
• Develop knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems and related construction methods.
• Learn estimating tools and prefabrication processes; support project closeout.
