GETTING A FLYING START
To be set up for success in the role, you will have extensive experience from the offshore/marine/subsea industry. You have worked in companies that are project-driven and have activities related to installation of HV subsea cables. You have experience working domestically (and internationally ideally) with projects related to interconnectors, wind farms, or power from shore. You will be comfortable with ensuring quality and safety during the projects. You have experience as “Lead Engineer” and have experience in leading others through your natural initiative and drive.
HOW YOU MAKE AN IMPACT
Your role as a project engineer with Nexans will be to concentrate on the US market and help Nexans develop its capacities in executing projects in the US north east coast. You will work in project teams with focus on marine HV cable installation operations. You will lead, plan, and drive marine installation activities in projects such as installation packages and supplier/subcontractors, procedures, plans, analyses, calculations, and other documentation. This position interfaces closely with our state of the art HV cable factory in Charleston, South Carolina to take delivery of our cables before installation as well as with our engineering hub and project management teams based in Oslo, Norway.
In addition, this position is involved with tender activities, developing technical solutions relevant in the department and makes a solid impact by participating in Quality and HSE activities.
