Job summary

Voith Group is seeking a Project Engineer to manage customer projects from inception to completion in Springfield, OR. You will coordinate engineering design, quotations, and documentation while interfacing with customers and internal teams to ensure on-time delivery.

This role emphasizes problem-solving, multi-tasking, and strong communication across engineering, shop floor, and sales to support cost-effective solutions and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in engineering or related field; relevant experience may substitute.
• Experience in manufacturing is a plus.
• Project engineer receives instruction with limited supervision.
• Project management experience is a plus.
• Proficient with MS Office suite and ERP; document control familiarity.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills across levels.
• Knowledge of paper machine rolls or related equipment is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Effectively support customers by managing projects from quotation through completion.
• Interact with customers on engineering design questions and challenges.
• Prepare project quotations and documentation; define scope of work.
• Coordinate with internal groups including purchasing, quality, production, and sales.
• Generate and update process documentation and flow charts.
• Review drawings to determine requirements and feasibility.
• Drive lean initiatives and support cost-reduction efforts.
