Project Engineer/Manager - Water Resources

RESPEC is seeking an experienced Project Engineer/Manager located in Denver, CO. Since 1969, RESPEC has tackled complex challenges in energy transition, infrastructure resilience, digital transformation, and sustainability. We are employee-owned, fostering ownership and innovation among our team.

Job Description: The candidate will be involved in planning, design, and specialty services related to stormwater and water resources engineering, including hydrology, hydraulics, floodplain analyses, BMP design, stream restoration, and water rights. Some project management experience is preferred as the candidate will transition into a project management role.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in civil, environmental, or related engineering field
  • 6-12 years of experience in stormwater engineering
  • PE license in Colorado or ability to obtain one

Preferred Skills:

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience managing engineering teams and mentoring
  • Business development skills
  • Proficiency in hydrology/hydraulics software (HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, etc.)
  • Experience with FEMA floodplain mapping, AutoCAD/Civil3D, GIS, and construction oversight

Compensation and Benefits: Salary ranges from $85,000 to $135,000, with comprehensive benefits including flexible schedules, paid parental leave, 401(k) & ESOP, professional development, tuition reimbursement, and health insurance.

Additional Info: This is a full-time, mid-senior level position in engineering and IT industries, based in Denver, CO.
