Job summary

Adhesives Research, Inc. in Glen Rock, PA is seeking a full-time Project Manager for capital projects supporting manufacturing equipment and facilities. You will lead project scope, schedules, vendor bids, installation, and qualification activities, ensuring safety and long-term reliability.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and execute all aspects of capital projects.
  • Lead development of project specifications with the requestor.
  • Prepare and update a project plan using Microsoft Project or equivalent.
  • Prepare scopes of work and RFQ documents.
  • Identify manufacturers, suppliers, integrators and contractors and obtain bids.
  • Review quotes, make purchase recommendations and track costs.
  • Plan, schedule and coordinate installation, commissioning and qualification.
  • Prepare change control docs, work instructions, installation and IQ/OQ protocols.
  • Ensure safety is designed into equipment and reliability practices are established.
  • Provide engineering solutions to address repetitive failures and other problems.
  • Work with process owners on continuous improvement and support maintenance.

Job description

This is a full-time position responsible for managing projects that support our manufacturing equipment and facilities.

Essential Functions:

  • Manage and execute all aspects of capital projects.
  • Lead the development of project specifications with the requestor.
  • Prepare and update a project plan using Microsoft Project or equivalent software.
  • Prepare scopes of work (SOW) and requests for quote (RFQ) documents.
  • Identify manufacturers, suppliers, integrators and contractors, and obtain competitive bids.
  • Review quotes, provide purchase recommendations, submit purchase requisitions, and track costs.
  • Plan, schedule and coordinate installation, commissioning and qualification activities.
  • Prepare change control documentation, work instructions, equipment installation and operational qualification protocols, and summary reports as required.
  • Ensure safety is designed into equipment.
  • Ensure long-term maintenance and reliability practices are established.
  • Contribute technical expertise to maximize equipment reliability and performance.
  • Provide engineering solutions to address repetitive failures and other problems.
  • Work closely with process owners on continuous improvement projects.
  • Support maintenance, production and project management.
  • Communicate effectively with AR associates, suppliers, contractors, and customers.
  • Conduct yourself in a professional, respectful manner consistent with AR Guiding Principles, and embrace 6S LEAN culture.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Job Specifications:

  • B.S. degree in Engineering
  • A minimum of 3 years related experience
  • PMP certification preferred

  • Sound organization and communication skills
  • Communicate fluently in English
  • Tolerate odors and noise associated with manufacturing operations
  • Travel throughout the manufacturing areas, buildings and campus to allow personal observations of equipment and facilities associated with responsibilities
  • Travel to customer and vendor facilities as required
  • Accommodate a flexible work schedule
  • Proficiency in computer programs for engineering such as Office 365 applications and AutoCad
  • Manufacturing experience is a plus. E.g. Mixing, coating, drying, web handling, or slitting
