Job summary

Wharton-Smith, Inc. seeks a Project Engineer – Intern to join our Charlotte, NC regional office. You will coordinate with the Project Engineer and Project Manager to help plan, organize, and complete projects within your area of responsibility.

During the internship, you may review project plans, bids from contractors, and assist daily tasks. You will help maintain a safe job site and contribute to team results while performing data entry and related duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Data entry accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to coordinate with project engineers/managers.
• Familiarity with safety rules and site procedures.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and assist the Project Engineer and Project Manager with planning, organization, and completion of projects.
• Review project plans and confer with management as needed.
• Review bids from contractors and assist with daily project tasks.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment by enforcing procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Data entry and assisting the Project Manager or Project Engineer with daily tasks.
